Just about all of the Email Marketing work I've done has been for www.Thermo.com. If you were to ask how many emails I've sent out... I'd have to say it's somewhere in the millions. More importantly, I helped install and configure their email marketing tool, a product sold by Vignette called Dialog. And then I administrated the tool for almost 2 years. Dialog is one of the more robust email marketing tools I've seen. It allows multilevel email communications, tracked and customizable at every point. We have all received email newsletters, I'd bet you've received one from the Dialog system. The most interesting thing about Dialog is: one can receive an email, click on a link of interest, and "magically" receive another email at some random point in the future directly related to that click... think about that... we know you clicked, therefore, here is another email. The possibilities are endless... and that's very exciting. Ok, enough about Dialog. Email marketing is an interesting subject. I has lots to do with psychology, some to do with marketing, and very little to do with sales. Most people think "Just type up an email, and send it."... in fact, it's a bit more like brain surgery, only, not. Confusing? Sure. We can talk more about it. Contact me.
